Once CQuest tests or tutorials have been created with CQuest DB, the CQuest Test module delivers the assessment to the students.

The screenshot above is a practice test. In this case options were set to provide hints where the test author chose to display the correct answer once the hint button is clicked. Also, the correct answer has been set to display after a specified number of seconds. For formal tests and exams the administrator generally does not enable these options.

CQuest Test: Displaying Tutorials

CQuest Test may also be used to run tutorials or provide any organizational or academic online learning. A tutorial can also include quiz questions immediately following the informational pages. For business or governmental organizations, CQuest Tutorials may be used to present information on any subject, information on business procedures, or regulations. A tutorial which includes quiz questions may be used to assure compliance that the material has been read and understood.

CQuest Test: Test Reviews

The Administrator may choose whether or not to enable test reviews, and to disable/enable printing of any test material.

The Test Reviews can be used to supply feedback to the student for each question, showing the correct answer and the response given, score, and time of test.

The review may also be expanded to become a study guide. Information (Notes) may be displayed with each question that provides further explanation or any additional information. In addition, References may also be included, to designate where the material came from: book, lecture, etc.

Selecting a Test

A test file, or database, may contain one or many tests. There is no limit to the number of test databases that may be created with CQuest DB

When the student opens a test database, a list of tests is displayed. If practice options have been enabled, the student may make a choice between a practice test or a regular test. If not, only formal testing will be available.

If a test has already been taken, the student may select a test review (if enabled by the administrator). A review can be of all questions in the test, or only missed questions. Some organizations like students to be able to print a certificate for their personnel file or supervisor. The certificate shows what test they completed, score and date information. Headers and footers customizing organizational information may be set up by an administrator.

Setting Test Options

Various test options may be set for each test database by a CQuest Administrator There are three sections:

• General Test Options:

Set test options such as time limits for tests, pass/fail percentage, and student review and printing options.





• Practice Test Options:

Choose to allow hints or correct answers after a set amount of time or question attempts.





• Randomization Options:

Shuffle

all the questions in a test. Randomly arrange all the questions in a test so they are in a different order for each student, or for each time a student takes a test.





Create a

real-time randomized

test from a selected number of questions from one test or across many tests. Each student will get a different set of questions, and question order. Also, each time a student takes a test, a different set of questions will be generated. This feature is particularly useful when a student is practicing for a large exam or certification test, where there are hundreds of questions. A shorter practice test may be set up for each time the student takes the test. A different set of questions will be presented each time, automatically.
